Can I use a Dell monitor and printer with another brand of desktop computer?
As said in other answers, you should be fine. What wasn’t said, or what was said otherwise, is that you’ll likely not have to install any device drivers, assuming the monitor and printer are both newer models. Even if you do need to install the right device drivers, you should still be able to use the monitor in the mean time – default drivers should make it display an image, though probably of reduced resolution and color depth. If you have the discs for the monitor and printer, you can use them to install the drivers. Otherwise, go to the Dell website and get the drivers from them. As I have seen at my workplace, both Dell monitors and printers can and will work on virtually any computer, INCLUDING Apple computers. We actually prefer to use Dell monitors with our Apple computers, as they have a far less obtrusive body when setting up a dual-screen display.
