Can I use a decongestant while Im taking antibiotics for a bad sinus infection?
You don’t need a decongestant, you need an antihistamine. No wonder your nose and eyes are running, and the cough is coming from the sinus drainage. You need to stop the running nose and watery eyes, not loosen it. To loosen it naturally through the day, boil some water with salt added. When it begins to boil for a minute, shut off the flame, lean down and inhale the steam vapors. Don’t get to close, just close enough to inhale through your nostrils and through the mouth deep into the lungs. Close the mouth, breathe through the nostrils, then open mouth and breathe more trough it than the nostrils, this will loosen congestion and you should be blowing your nose when through.
