Can I use a compact fluorescent light bulb or a UnityTM LED Light Bulbs in an enclosed light fixture?
Compact fluorescent light bulbs may be used in some enclosed fixtures as that are not recessed. Totally enclosed recessed fixtures such as a ceiling light with a cover over the bulb will create temperatures that are too high to allow the use of a compact fluorescent bulb. Some models of UnityTM LED Light Bulbs can be used in these applications.
I feel UnityTM LED Light Bulbs can be perfect option for you,because they can be smaller compare to fluorescent light bulb . Also they create the same amount of light using less electricity, are safer because they can’t burn anyone, last longer, and are more durable.LEDs use less electricity and are thus less expensive to power.
