Can I upgrade my xxx toolset to support processor family yyy?
No, each developers kit is targeted at a specific processor family, and can be used only with members/derivatives of that processor family (see FAQ). To work with a completely different processor family, you will need to purchase the development toolset for that family, which is a separate product, and does not qualify as an upgrade. We do however allow upgrades of one package to a larger package which contains the one you already have. The most common occurrence of this is when a customer has a single “Developers Kit” toolset, and wishes to upgrade to a “Super Developers Kit” or “DDS Complete” package. These packages DO qualify as upgrades to a single development toolset.
