Can I undo a format operation on an NTFS disk partition?
File Scavenger cannot undo a format operation on an NTFS partition. However, it can undelete individual files on the partition under mormal conditions. You need to know the cluster size of the original partition and will need to specify exhaustive search mode. Even though file contents may be recovered, directory path information will not. Before File Scavenger can search for files on the partition, you need to redefine and format the partition. The new partition must reside at the same disk location and have the same size as the deleted partition.
