No. All our ethics committees meet regularly and all have an expedited review process for dealing with urgent applications which allow for review within 15 working days of receipt as long as there is a good justification for urgent review being needed. Expedited review procedures are given on the relevant pages for applicants (with the normal deadlines and meeting dates). A ‘serendipitous’ research code of practice is being piloted for use by staff researchers only. This is currently available to staff within the SSPP, Law, Humanities and King’s Learning Institute and can be found on the SSHL RESC webpages.
