Can I trust the accuracy of the New World Translation of the Bible and the Kingdom Interlinear Translation?
The problem is the NWT was written by non-scholar laymen which were able to color their translation to line up with JW doctrine. Unlike any other Bible translation JW’s refused to release the names of the translators for a long time. No wonder, when they finally did only one had any training in Greek, but not Biblical Greek, and that was a total of 21 hours of undergrad studies (no scholars). There was not one person on the translation committee that had taken one course in Hebrew. Looking at the site you posted it noted the NWT says “I have been” instead of “I am. One name given to God in the OT is “I am.” It is the name God divulged to Moses (Exodus 3:14). Most all versions translate John 5:58 as “I am,” except for the NWT which renders it, “. . . Before Abraham came into existence, I have been.” It seems biased to avoid using a name because it would equate Jesus with God contrary to JW doctrine. They made numerous changes to support JW doctrine, especially if it spoke to Jesus’ diet
