Can i trust ebay pregnancy/ovulation tests?

Hi – I bought some of these earlier this year & they where fab, very accurate. I got a definite Pos on O tests, then missed my period was 12 days late & had all the symptoms of Pregnancy. I used their PT’s & also 1st response but all negative. Went to the Drs & did a test there too still neg. It turns out I conceived but the egg didn’t implant & started bleeding a couple of days later. Anyway I ordered some more a couple of weeks ago as run out, & I’ve still not had a positive on O tests. I’ve constantly got a faint line on every test I’ve done, I’m currently on CD27, normaly I had cycles of 31 days. But this could be due to the problems last month. So basically I’m not sure if there’s a dodger batch about or something…. Let me know how you get on & I’ll do the same if you’d like?

I really think it depends on the brand. I bought some off ebay that gave me false positives. I think mine were too sensitive to work properly. Also check that they are not expired. Mine were not; they were just too sensitive. I bought some last month from another site: www.early-pregnancy-tests.com. These ones work very well.

I used the green tipped strips for ages, and never ever got a positive from them- even the so-called 15miu ones! I’ve since switched to Superdrug ones- they’re always on BOGOF so 10 sticks for £15. ASDA do 5 for £8 as well, cheapest I’ve seen them as a single pack not on offer. I too have taken a cheapie and a superdrug one in the same sample, superdrug positive, cheapie negative. I did indeed ovulate. I’ve also used the pregnancy tests. I didn’t use the blue strips, but another cheapie brand. I either got a false positive (definitely not an evaporation line- a dark pink line appeared immediately!), or I had a chemical pregnancy with it- all I know is when I tested the following day with a First Response the test was negative (day after positive) and my period came on time.

I bought the exact same tests and have been wondering the same thing. I was due to ovulate around about 09.05.09, i started testing 3 days before this, i neva got any surge eg; positive result, i was the due my monthly period on the 22.05.09 , this has never come. All pregnancy tests out of this bundle i bought are negative, all same dates as you. I have taken 3 of these test this time around i don’t know what to make of it either but i do know i am buying a proper test from the shop tomorrow and i suggest you do too. i feel sick, dizziness really bloated and feel as huge as a whale no pain or any sign of my period i hope this helps you to decide what to do and hope it is positive for as i do myself.

Seriously just go and buy a Clear Blue digital Ovulation kit!!! Gives you a smiley face if you are ovulating so you don’t have to guess if the test is positive or not!! They are about £20 but it is money well spent!! I got pregnant frst time using this kit and i have really irregular periods so i think they are great!!! I did use the cheap pregnancy tests though and they worked fine!!!
