Can I travel to EU countries visa-free with a UK student visa?
No. If you are a visa national (if you need a visa to enter the Schengen area) then you have to get one. However, if you are going there on official business for your university or for an employer for whom you are legally entitled to work, then you are entitled to an EU permit under the Rush Portuguesa doctrine http://eur-lex.europa.eu/smartapi/cgi/sg… your employer can send you to work (or, seemingly, study) for up to a year in another EU country. But if you’re going for tourism, just get a visa. My daughter’s boss is an Indian national who has unlimited leave to remain in the UK. He has to get Schengen visas. There are special rules for school pupils going on school trips. You don’t seem to qualify for that.
