Can I transmit some documents electronically and include hardcopies of other documents when processing a FedEx Electronic Trade Documents shipment?
Yes. Although the destinations enabled for FedEx Electronic Trade Documents can clear customs with an electronically transmitted Commercial Invoice, some commodities, values or quantities may require an original invoice, license or permit. Just insert any hard copy documentation you have included into the pouch. NOTE: Applicable customs laws, rules and regulations may require additional documentation for certain commodities, values or quantities and/or original hard copy commercial invoices, licenses, or permits. It is the responsibility of the shipper to know when an original hard copy document is required and to place the original document in the pouch on the package.
