Can I transfer from a graduate certificate to a master’s degree program?
Many applicants choose to apply first to a graduate certificate program and later apply to the corresponding master’s degree. For most programs, you may apply to matriculate into the master’s program after you have completed at least three courses in the graduate certificate. All applicants are required to submit a new application and any additional application materials required for the master’s application that were not submitted initially for graduate certificate admission. The application process varies by program. For specific details, please contact the Office of Admissions at scps.gradadmissions@nyu.edu.
