According to Microsoft, you can use a “compatible” USB flash drive or external USB hard drive to “transfer” XBox 360 save game files. USB flash drives do NOT appear as “memory” devices to the XBox 360; they instead appear as “removable drive” (file system storage) devices, similar to an external USB hard disk drive. In “Music, Video and Pictures”, either appears as a “Connected Device” allowing corresponding content playback within DRM restrictions. So get a XBox 360 512MB or 64MB memory unit, and only use it to store game/XBL profiles & saves. Use a compatible inexpensive USB flash drive or compatible external USB hard drive to store or transfer everything else, or to make backups of your XBox memory. ———————————————————————————————- References: http://assets.xbox.com/en-us/support/na-memoryunit.pdf
