Can I transfer credits from graduate coursework taken at other institutions or other divisions at Tulane?
Yes, you can. Acceptance of graduate credit for work done at other graduate institutions or in another division of Tulane University must be approved by the Academic Director of the Payson Center and by the Dean of the Tulane Graduate School. In general, up to 12 semester hours of transfer credit may be accepted toward a masters degree and up to 24 semester hours of transfer credit may be accepted toward the Ph.D. degree. To be considered for transfer credit, graduate work done at another institution or in another division of Tulane must carry a grade of B or better and must have been completed no more than four years from the date of first registration for graduate work if applied toward a masters degree and no more than six years from the date of first registration for graduate work if applied toward a Ph.D. degree.
