Can I transfer an existing domain name to Hallsmart?
Yes we do this all the time! Just be sure to specify that you are requesting a transfer and NOT a new domain. You should keep your service at any existing site while waiting for the transfer to be complete. We will provide you with a temporary IP address so you can mirror the site on our server. All email and web pages will still be accessed from your existing site until propagation is complete. The time it takes to transfer your domain is dependent upon who you originally registered your site with. Some registrars are easier to work with than others. Generally speaking the transfer can be done in 24 to 72 hours. Often times you are issued a userid and password to access your admin account with a domain registrar.
