Can I transfer address book information to a Psion data file that I created and which already contains data?

No. The first time you perform an address book synchronisation, LinkWise will transfer a special Psion data file to your Psion that has been pre-configured with fields matching those in the GroupWise address book. You can add, edit and delete entries in this file on the Psion for synchronisation with GroupWise. You must not, however, modify the field definitions in this data file. LinkWise assumes that the structure of the Psion address book data file is static. This design decision was taken after carefully considering the ramifications of attempting to synchronise to a user-defined Psion data file. Synchronising to a user-defined data file requires the end-user to ‘map’ each field in the GroupWise address book to a field in the Psion data file. Experience has shown that it is often too easy to modify the structure of the data files and then forget to update the field mappings. This usually results in garbled data being created during synchronisation, and possible data loss.
