Can I temporarily use one of my AutoBid Mechanical licenses on a different computer?
Yes. If you would like to temporarily use one of your licenses on another computer, you need to “check-out” a license to that computer. Follow these steps: • First, install AutoBid Mechanical on the computer that will temporarily be using the license (target computer). • On the Windows Desktop of the target computer, click Start. • Select Programs, select AutoBid Mechanical, then select Mechanical Utilities. • Find the QuickPen Key number listed above the View Use button. This number will be needed to check out the license. Each QuickPen Key is unique to the computer, so not any QuickPen Key will work. Write this number down. • Go to the computer that is a regular AutoBid Mechanical computer, and put a floppy disk into the floppy disk drive. • Click Start and go to Mechanical Utilities (repeat step 3). • In the Product pull-down menu, select Transfer License Out…. • Fill out the required information, including the QuickPen Key from the target computer. Make sure the license path is d
