Can I tell how much battery power is remaining in the wireless controller? What happens when it runs out?
A battery life indicator is visible in the dashboard to indicate how much power is remaining for both the Play & Charge Kit and standard AA batteries. To view the indicator, simply hit the guide button and the indicator is shown in the top left corner of the screen as a small bar with 4 segments indicating a full charge, 3 segments showing approximately 75% charge etc. The indicator is approximate but provides enough information to tell you whether the batteries are about to run out. Furthermore, the ring of light on the controller will flash intermittently when the battery level is running low. Once the batteries are depleted, the controller will obviously disconnect from the 360 at which point most single player games will pause the game and prompt you to reconnect your controller. Multiplayer games over Live will not pause however.
