Can I take summer school courses to lighten the academic load during the year?
Students enrolled in the Western New England College Pre-pharmacy program are expected to take a full-time academic load. College courses taken by Pre-pharmacy students during high school or in the summer between high school and their first semester will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Prior approval must be sought for any courses taken between the first and second years. A maximum of 4 credits of science courses including AP credits may be taken prior to the freshman year. However, being awarded AP credits in science may not be advantageous to the student because the department does not consider AP science courses equivalent to college-level science courses in this program.
