Can I take my van to one of the Household Recycling Centres?

0

The sites are provided strictly for household waste and all forms of transport that are not private motor vehicles including any vehicle bearing sign writing, hire vehicles and vehicles over 3.5 tonnes are prohibited from site. In practical terms this means vans, pickups and small lorries. Permits are however available to non signwritten vans where the applicant applies to the council for a permit and can demonstrate that the vehicle will be used to deposit household waste only. With the exception of Cottage Beck Road HRC which can take trade waste on a chargeable basis.Back to questions.
