Can I take my motorised disabled scooter on the bus?

0

Motorised disabled scooters are not designed for use on bus services. The Thickthorn and Costessey bus services do not accept any motorised disabled scooters on their vehicles. At Sprowston and Harford sites it depends on the size of the electric vehicle. Electric wheelchairs not exceeding 700 millimetres by 1200 millimetres including leg space are allowed but in general scooters are not. However, passengers with disabled scooters can travel on Airport and Postwick park and ride services, provided they follow the instructions of the bus driver for positioning of the scooter on the bus and the space is not already being used by others.
