Can I take legal action against a crazy ex-girlfriend?
I’ve been stalked by an ex, and I’ve had a couple of friends that had TERRIBLE experiences with their ex’s. I’d suggest that you start off getting smart with what you do & how you do it. My first suggestion is completely cutting off contact with her, including changing the locks to you apartment, e-mail account passwords, voice mail passwords, bank account pin numbers, etc. From a legal stand point, you may want to give going to your local police department to try and find a sympathetic cop. While the laws my apply to both sexes, it’s been mine, and my friends experiences that the cops are reluctant to follow threw when it is men that are being victimized. To them it’s more of a joke. From a practical stand point, if things get unbearable, attempt to get a restraining order. I’d suggest you begin to document everything you can. Save notes, voice mails, e-mails, etc. It would help your case if you need to go to the police.
