Can I take Gabatrol if I am currently taking a prescription anti-anxiety medication?
In general, Gabatrol can be safely combined with prescription sedatives, including benzodiazepines such as Valium® (diazepam), Xanax® (alprazolam), and Ativan® (lorazepam). Keep in mind that Gabatrol may increase the effects of sedative medications, although this interaction is not unsafe at recommended doses.
