Can I take an INDEPENDENT STUDY in Information Systems or Information Technology?
Independent Study is an elective course in Information Systems or Information Technology taken after the required INFO credits are completed. Students should ask a full-time faculty member to be the supervisor for the project. The student and faculty supervisor together determine the scope, deliverables and credits. An Independent Study Proposal Form found online at the Current Students section of the IST Web site, http://www.cis.drexel.edu, under your degree program and “Useful forms” section. Completed proposal forms must be turned in at least four weeks prior to the start of the term for approval by your academic advisor and the Associate Dean. Students may take a maximum of 6 credits of INFO 399. Academic credit will not be given for technical certification work.
