As long as you don’t go to Grand Junction during very busy weekends, you should be able to find a hotel room when you get there. The busiest weekend is at the end of June, during Country Jam. Whether a rental or a hotel room is more affordable depends on how long you are staying. The college students are coming back to town soon, so if you are looking to rent a room in a house I would suggest looking now before they are all taken.
