Can I take a rolled butter-cream frosted cake and re freeze it?

I’d bake it after getting to Arkansas. That’s what I’d do. But I understand that might be rather inconvenient. Shopping and baking soon after you land? Not everyone’s idea of unwinding after travel. So my next thought was to bake the cake. Store each layer in specially designed cake delivery boxes, and Fed Ex it. Coz I don’t know if you’ve heard, but that guy whose guitar was broken? His incident is not isolated. (Reference video: United Breaks Guitars http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5YGc4zOqo… I can tell you from making it at home, that you can store it frozen or at least in your refrigerator and it will be fine, as long as you are careful about your temperatures, time left sitting out (don’t put it in hot or warm!) before you do that. It’s tempting to put it in freezer, and should be fine since you just made it. Seriously don’t think you’re allowed to take a cake, iced or not…but especially iced, on the plane.
