Can i switch phones with Sprint if i buy a new one from a store?
Since sprint doesn’t use the chip you have to call their customer service line to deactivate the old phone and activate the new one. There is no cost except for the cost of the new phone. Make sure the new phone is compatible with sprint service. I just activated a new phone after damaging an old phone and did not have to extend my plan or anything. It only took about 30 minutes. If you want to keep the info in your phonebook, you’ll have to go to the sprint store to have them change it (usually takes 15 minutes) unless you have it saved online.
