Can I switch from DirectTV to DishNetwork services ?

0

DirectTV dish and cabling are compatible with the DishNetwork service. However your dish will need to be realigned to a different satellite location. Using your DirecTV dish will prevent you from receiving some local stations and most of the programming in the America’s Top 150 package. This is because it will not be looking at the secondary satellites. Therefore, it is recommend to upgrade to the DISH 500, which allows you to receive a signal from both of the main DishNetwork satellite locations with one dish. DishNetwork and DirectTV receivers use different architecture, so unfortunately their receivers are not compatible.
