can i swap a 1985 TOYOTA SUPRA 22R MOTOR to a 1988 pickup?
hey guys i have a 1988 toyota 4×4 pickup with a 2.4L FI turbo charged 4cyl in it. the question is can i swap it out for a 1985 toyota 22r supra motor and what would i need to get, in order to make the swap it’s my first vehicle and the step-father wants nothing to do with it … would the motor work fine with the stock manual, 4wd, transmission i have in it. the reason im wanting to do this is because i have a blown head gasket and they want a 1000 dollers (which i don’t have) to fix it and my buddy has a 1985 supra which was wrecked in the rear but the engine is fine and he said i can buy it for 500… is the toyota pickup and toyota supra’s 22r the same…many questions to ask… please give me some feed back…
