Can I sue Talk Talk?
My mother uses them too and she had no end of problems. You should demand that you speak with a manager if the staff are incompetent. I dont know if you can sue them but I can understand that its humiliating for you when people hear that message – I don’t think they are legally able to publicy provide that information, and essentially ther ARE damaging your character by informing the public of your financial situation – and they are providing false information! I think to seek damages you may have to prove it damaged you in some way, like for example if you applied for a loan or mortgage or something and the bank called you and heard that message and you got turned down. If something like that has happened to you then you should probably seek legal advice, it would depend on where you live because of the different laws etc. Anyway, mine is not a professional opinion so please don’t take what I say as fact!!!
