It will vary from state to state but you will have to list your last & next to last job. You will need to be laid off from your present job to qualify. The paperwork is sent to your last 2 employers. If either one of these object then you will have to appeal. Your current employer will probably not object since he not even in consideration because it will be based on pats quarters worked not the present quarter. However if I am you last employer I might object and make you go through the appeals process. If you win the appeal it might take 6 weeks before you are paid but you would collect for all previous weeks–please continue to make your weekly claim during the waiting period for your appeal. On the other hand if no one objects then your claim will most likely be accepted and your checks will begin to flow. All of your qualifications will come from your previous employer of 2.5 years.
