Consider adopting some guidelines for your forum; you can find a great example of comprehensive listserv guidelines on the Surfing Sisters website. As for choosing a listserv host, Yahoo! Groups is a great (and free!) service, allowing you to invite, accept and moderate membership and posts while keeping your forum private.
