You first of all need to register. The Registration server is at https://autoreg.autoregister.net/cgi/candy However, this site can only be accessed from an ntl dial-up or using the special dial-up number and account details encrypted on the CD. Attempts to access the site from other dial-ups gives a denial of access message. Alternatively if you have any friends with an ntl dial-up you could register using their system. You will find that when you register the registration server will download a file called something like ‘xxxxcandyxxx’. This is in effect an ‘ins’ file which the CD software uses to set up your ntl account settings. If you access the registration site manually then at this stage the Registration Process hangs as it is waiting for a response from the CD. Just ignore this (you will find you have been successfully registered at this point). Just leave the site, convert the ‘candy’ file to a text file and then read the file to get the settings info.
