Can I share my RezNet connection with others?

• Under NO circumstances is any student permitted to connect any form of Wireless Access Point to the campus network or RezNet, the University of Calgary Residence Network. Offering wireless access to a RezNet ethernet point is a breech of the University Computing & Access Policies for the network, since it involves both offering networking services and potentially providing data access to others. Students found running a wireless data facility will as a minimum have their access to RezNet withdrawn. Use of Access Points in an ad hoc mode with no wired connection to the campus backbone is also unacceptable, as it may interfere with legitimate wireless networks elsewhere on campus.
