Can I set a specific ringtone to a certain message on my blackberry curve 8350i?
This should work. I have the same model phone, and I’m a firefighter too. From your home screen, hit the blackberry key. Scroll down to options and click. Scroll down to Profiles and click. Scroll down and highlight the profile you want to modify. (Or at this point you can choose to create a new profile.) Press the blackberry key, and select edit or new profile. If you choose to modify an existing one, hit edit and scroll down to SMS Text. Click it. From here you can select to change your SMS ring tone and how it notifies you. Your voice mail will come in under the MMS ring tone. If you choose to create a new profile, you’ll have to name it, and then you’ll have to set up all your ring tones and notifiers as they will be a copy of the phone’s normal default. You highlight ring tone and press the trackball. A drop down menu will appear and you can select the ring tone you want.
