Can I send a video file through PatronMail?
Our system does not support video in an e-mail campaign as of now because almost all e-mail software systems don’t support it, which means if you include a flash element (such as a movie) it will not be displayed at all. In the future, we believe it will be possible to do this and we will definitely introduce this feature into PatronMail once we are assured that it will render properly in e-mail browsers. For now, we recommend that you host the video on your Web site, take a screenshot of the video, include that image in your newsletter and then link to the page where it is hosted so your patrons can view it. Some of our clients do this regularly and find it works very well for their needs. I want to send a mailing to a list of patrons, then delete them afterwards from my database. We can create a new category for this purpose, and just send us the list of new patrons to upload.
