Can i see an example of correct footnotes?
In most writing formats footnotes are good for when you copy or paraphrase a work from someone else’s work or works. At the end of the sentence that came from the other source place a number, then at the bottom of that page place the number that you placed at the end of the pharse and then write the information from the source as if you would on the works cited page, with last name, first name of the author, “title of article or book”, date, publisher, and page number from the book.
