When you recycle, you have less waste to throw away, so you may be able to switch to a smaller garbage cart to save money. The City offers two sizes of trash carts, 68 gallons and 96 gallons. The bi-monthly charge for the 68 gallon carts are $34.81 and the bi-monthly charge for the 96 gallon carts are $37.34. Be sure to choose the right container for your garbage needs – a $27.69 container exchange fee is assessed if you change the size of the container after an account has been open for 30 days. Charges will be assessed for overflowing garbage, garbage set out beyond your service level, or allowing garbage to accumulate on your property.
