SAP Note 1036052 includes information on how to disable Smart Synchronization data transfer if synchronization is triggered from a Generic Synchroniztion application. This allows users to have Smart Sync and Generic Sync applications on the same device without affecting the performance. The feature is available in SAP MI SP 18 Patch 07.
