Yes it should run. This time of year you need to think along the lines of running on a blend of veg oil and ordinary diesel as this has an additive in it to stop waxing (thickening at low temp). All oils thicken as the temp drops. Veg oil as it starts to thicken goes like cloudy honey to look at. As it gets thicker the car takes longer to start after standing for some time. and may run lumpy till everything is warm. If you want to try this ,one trick is to mix up a clear bottle in the percentages your thinking of running on and leave it outside. Keep some spare diesel and you can add it to tank if bottle looks to be thickening or engine runs lumpy in really cold weather for a long time after start up. Running on 50/50 mix should be ok .As stated earlier in another post you should inform HMRC your doing this due to the VAT. Come summer you should be up to 90% veg oil, with an occassional engine cleaner additive treatment to tank.
