Yes, you can run any cgi-compatible scripts from anywhere on the server. For consistency however, scripts are usually placed in the cgi-bin at /home/sites/siteX/web/cgi (where X is the site number and “cgi” can be any word you like). The RaQs use a cgi-wrapper program to automatically define a cgi-script and can therefore run from anywhere.
