beaTunes works fairly well with iTunes version before 6.0.2. That said, it’s unsupported. Be warned that when you upgrade from a pre iTunes 6.0.2 version to a newer version, you will loose all color data and BPM fractions. HYMN is a tool that allows you to circumvent the DRM system FairPlay which is used by Apple to protect music bought from its iTunes Music Store (iTMS). The exception are iTunes Plus songs.
