Can I run an oil fired range and central heating wood burning stove in one house?

If your heating system is pressurized you can not fit a solid fuel appliance to it, as the multi-fuel stove requires an open vent to allow for water expansion or the possibility of boiling ie in a power cut. If your heating is fed from a header tank, you can connect a multi-fuel appliance to it. The appliances can then be linked via a Dunsely Baker neutralizer, which will distribute the heat to the radiators and hot water without any heat loss between the two appliances. Please do not buy your stove online. Go to a shop where you can look at stoves and get advice before during and after the installation. A lot of independent shops are run by plumbers and not just salesmen. There are other systems which will work too but their is not enough space to go into detail. Good luck with your heating.
