No. Windows marks files copied to a CD as Read-only and AccuChef won’t run if it can’t open the cookbook files in Read/write mode. NOTE: Anytime you copy files to a CD and then copy them back to a hard drive the files remain “Read-only”. In order for AccuChef to use them you first need to turn off the Read-only attribute. To do so, start up Windows Explorer, open the folder with the files, right click them and select “Properties” from the window that pops up. At the bottom of screen uncheck the box labeled “Read-only”.
