Can I run a Mac operating system on my desktop that currently has Win XP?
Short Answer: No Apple’s licensing agreement on the desktop version of its operating system, Mac OS X, explicitly states that it only can be run on Apple hardware. Long Answer: Yes, this is possible, with a lot of illegal workarounds. You can learn all you want about this at the OSx86 project’s homepage (http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page). Basically this involves patching a copy of Mac OS X to be able to install it on a regular PC. A lot of times the drivers won’t work or exist and the experience will be terrible. ———- I would not recommend doing this in any circumstance. You will go through a lot of trouble to have a less-than-satisfactory solution that may not even work depending on your hardware. If you want to play with Mac OS X, there are are number of cheap computers on Apple’s refurbished store (http://store.apple.com then click on refurbished).
