Can i run a discovery tdi on veggie oil with no hard work involved and with no problems?

My last neighbor in Germany worked for Bosch. Head of engineering in fuel injection. Many a beer was downed discussing plant oils in diesel cars. As he explained the modern CDI/TDI diesel cars use extremely high pressure and extremely small injector holes to achieve optimal fuel/air mixing (atomization). He was explaining that plant oils are too thick and will plug up the fuel injectors causing exspensive repairs. Further never ever use bio-diesels unless your vehicle is designed to run them. These fuels use additives to thin the plant-oils. These additives are very aggressive to seals and gaskets that are not specifically designed to be used in bio-diesel systems. Funny part is most low end engines will run bio-diesel from the factory and exspensive vehicles require a retro fit. V Veggie oil is the reason that some many old (loud) diesels are being sought after and prices are climbing faster then a rocket. They will run most anything due to the simplicity of their systems.
