The air flow direction cannot be reversed. You choose to have air flowing up or down the wall cavity. Moving air up the wall cavity and discharging in the adjacent room high is used with air conditioning. Moving the air from the ceiling of the room to near the floor of the adjacent room is best with a heating system, stove or fireplace.
