Can I require my teaching assistant, who is at level 2, to undertake cover supervision?
You cannot unilaterally impose a requirement to undertake this work, where it is not contained in the job description. The undertaking of this role must be the outcome of a process of discussion and agreement with the member of staff concerned. Once this has been agreed, it can then be incorporated into the job description.
