Can I remove the humid hide?
Your Leo should have the moisture hide available at all times, not just during a shed and it should be placed on the mid-range to cool side, not on the UTH pad or under the heat lamp. You can use paper towels (folded, not trimmed or cut) for the bedding if you don’t want the mess of vermiculite or moss. Just mist it daily to be sure it stays moist and change it once a week or if it gets soiled. http://www.leopardgeckowiki.com/wiki/ind… It’s not advisable to spray your Leo with anything. He will not shed like a snake and leave his skin – he will eat it. Always check the problems areas after a shed – around eyes, toes and tail tip, to be sure no skin remains. Unshed skin can restrict blood flow and result in tissue damage and lost appendages. Leo shedding – cute, turn on your sound: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2rrUELaBK… E
