It is not possible to remove the breakdown recovery cover if you have a Standard Comprehensive Policy and your vehicle is under 8 years old. Breakdown recovery is an integral part of the cover provided on these policies. If you take out a Standard Non-Comprehensive policy or your vehicle is over 8 years then Breakdown Recovery Cover is only available as an optional extra and is not automatically included.
