Can i remove old security updates from windows xp to help speed up my pc?

You don’t want to uninstall old security updates. They’re probably still in use & protecting your computer. Check into deleting their uninstallers instead, because you should be keeping the security updates & not ever uninstalling them.

Removing updates will not speed up your computer. You should look into adding more ram if you truly want to make it faster.

What makes you think removing updates will speed up your computer because it not.

Not a good idea. The whole point of a security update is to patch a explot that Windows have found in their system, therefore each and every update must stay/be installed. To speed up your XP PC do the following: 1. Right click the “My Computer” shortcut and select “Properties”. 2. Navigate to the Advanced Tab 3. Under the performance tab, Then “Settings” 4. Once the performance dialog opens, navigate to the “Advanced” tab again. 5. Under the “Virtual Memory” form, click “change”. 6. Replace the original value to the maximum value. 7. Click “Ok”. Now you’re done.

NO. Actually of the old security updates are all combined into SP3 that includes the ones from SP2.
